What happens when a car arrives at our yard

Workshop interior with vehicles

Every vehicle that comes through the gate is logged before anything is removed from it. Make, model, build date, odometer and condition all go into our inventory system, and that record is what eventually becomes the listings you see here.

Fluids come out first, then the battery and anything hazardous. This is a legal requirement and it is also what stops a yard turning into an environmental problem.

Dismantling is done by section rather than all at once. Panels and glass, then interior, then mechanical. Each part is inspected, graded and photographed as it comes off, which is why some listings have photos of the part itself and others only have photos of the donor car.

A part is only listed once it has been graded. If you see it on this site, someone has physically had it in their hands.

What is left of the shell is baled and recycled. Very little of a car actually goes to waste.
